I’ll start. I really only started actively supporting the team around 2010 thereabouts and I guess maybe witnessing all the wonderful moments like the JPT final, Super Rickie and the double promotion, San Siro, Gabbiadini! tOp oF tHE lEaGUe, etc… has made me a little bit spoilt, but like… does anyone else feel like a little bit of magic has left the club?

It’s been a bit more acute since Sports Republic came in. When it comes to players, while I’m really, really happy to see Tella truly come into his own, I struggle to generate any real affinity towards the rest of the squad, JWP’s leaving I understand, but Tino’s departure left me mildly perplexed.

I like Russell Martin, I think he will be solid at this level though I’m not sure I’m fully sold on his philosophy. A month and a half ago, I would’ve tipped our squad to finish top 3, now though I get the feeling we have opened ourselves to the risk of possibly spending 2 years in this division.

I’m content to clap, cheer, sing and see what happens, it’s nice to win games again but supporting this club doesn’t hit like it used to.
