Saiki was the second child. The first child was a super genius, but Saiki was just a normal lonely student at PK Elementary School. Another student named Nendou was really kind and tried to be Saiki's friend. But Saiki's self esteem was too low, and couldn't accept that someone would want to be friends. Nendou didn't know what else to do to help, so he used his time leap ability to go back before Saiki was born and bestow a little bit of his psychic powers so that Saiki could grow up feeling special with self worth. To this day, Nendou uses his superior psychic abilities to block Saiki from reading his thoughts and finding out the truth.
