Hey guys, i'm relatively new as a cashier at Safeway. A lot of other cashiers have all the produce codes memorized as well as a bunch of others (we were never taught in training, at least I wasn't. Maybe they were when they started) and since I don't know them, if produce doesn't have a scan sticker, I have to look it up. For some reason, I can NEVER find ginger on there and end up keying in 99 cents as the price because i'm in a rush to get through their order and onto the next. I don't want to keep doing that though, I know it's probably not that great, so does anyone know where to find it on the produce lookup on the register? Also, if anyone knows any of the codes, PLEASE include them. I hope they are universal and not different for every store:/ Thank you so much to all of you!
