EHS Guidance
Post Body

Hi everyone, I'm currently new into the EHS career/path and I was looking for some guidance/advice. I've been working in the field for about a year now, mainly focusing on

  • Hazardous Materials/Waste
  • Air Quality (Permits)
  • A little bit of Ergonomics

Current Certifications

  • First Aid/CPR/AED
  • DOT Hazmat Transporation and Security Awareness as per 49 CFR 172.704a(1)(3)(4), (Signing Hazardous Waste Manifests)
  • 24 Hour Industrial Technician Hazwoper

What should I be focusing on to further myself in this career? Do I try to go for certifications (ASP, CSP, CHMM), get more trainings, or just get more hand-on experience? My goal is to focus more on the Environmental/Safety aspects of things. Anything helps! Thank you for your time and help.
