I personally think the 100% tax is a really bad call. That said I don't know jack shit about the logistics of shutting down buying and what that entails in relation to pancakeswap. It seems like the team can control sfm swap and not much more.
Why is that my introduction? Because it seems like the sub forgot that the entire reason this is happening in the first place is because people got greedy and refused to migrate so they could take advantage of the reflections. Please note that I'm not bashing people for this, after reading countless posts of others talking about their bag I get why a lot of folks took the opportunity. There are so many reasons and people in differing situations, that I won't disrespect or belittle.
But you can't have your cake and eat it too. We as a sub (yeah, collective ownership, something we don't practice unless we're in hype mode) relentlessly bitched about "wen V2" and then proceeded not to migrate. We talked shit about how poorly migration was handled...while literally exploiting the process. Say what you want about how the devs could have handled this but we've shown ourselves to be a realistic family in that we're dysfunctional af.
We made this necessary by making it clear that we would buy on pancake until it was shut down. Instead of focusing on migrating, many of the people complaining today intentionally dragged ass and even went as far as to post shit like "eating these tasty 'flections on v1 rn"
BUT WE'RE TOO BUSY
First off, I understand the sentiment of "I'm a long term, experienced crypto holder, and I don't constantly check my wallet like a child."
I (kinda) get where y'all are coming from. But you lose me when it comes to staying informed. You're telling me you didn't hear about the bitmart hack? You're telling me you've held crypto for years, seen gains and you don't engage in or keep up periodically with any of the communities for your other coins/tokens? bullshit
Yes you fucking do. But ok let's pretend you don't. You seriously want to die on the hill of "my life is comfortable enough to throw a few hundred to thousand (because if you asshats are complaining over less than a hundred dollars invested-I just can't with you) dollars of my money into something and completely ignore it for a year or two"...that feels mature to you? I understand not caring about memes, but if you think you're an intelligent individual for declaring "I don't keep up with my investments because I'm an adult" I respectfully disagree and objectively do not understand.
It's just not realistic for people who invested money they earned. Oh and bashing people for being first time investors? Like you weren't stoked, interested, or learning about your first investment? You weren't passionate about anything? You're not the norm here then, please stop flexing your very unique situation and perspective.
Tldr I don't think people should have to lose money, it's terrible. What's even worse though is that the money is being lost because so many clung to a few cents worth of reflections and completely stalled the process of moving this entire thing forward for us all.
And you have the nerve to rationalize your behavior from a point of perceived superiority and intellect. Badmouthing the team, the community, and anything but taking accountability and just acknowledging that very few people handled this situation well, dev or investor.
all people have to do is read, have 4 dollars of bnb, and push some buttons
