Post Body

Hello! The new husband and I are moderators of r/Asheville and going on our honeymoon in Northern California and Oregon next week. We are spending Sunday night in Yosemite, then traveling up to Portland over the following days. I have found a few places to camp in the Sacramento area but would love your advice on which is best. From Sacramento, we are going to Chico so we want to be close to our route. Between previous r/Sacramento posts and venturing out into the actual internet, I've narrowed it down to

Lake Oroville

Verona Village

Or Scotts Flat Lake

We don't want to be more than 30-40 minutes outside of Sacramento unless it's north because we want to easily get back on our route toward Chico. The campsite doesn't need to be fancy, either, since we'll just be there for the night then back on the road. So tell me fellow redditors, what would you recommend?? Thanks, everyone!!

EDIT: Just want to say thanks to everyone who replied! I totally expected a handful of responses at the most but you all have been awesome, I hope r/Asheville can return the favor some day!
