Does anyone have any advice on how to successfully contest a parking ticket in downtown Sacramento? I live here, but do not have my own car. When I broke my foot I borrowed a car to go to appointments and such and used my visitor parking pass to park in the residential parking in front of my apartment. Apparently my pass either fell out or was taken when I valeted the car at the hospital. The next morning I received a ticket in front of my place and realized the pass was gone. I don’t think that is something they will accept as an excuse. I was wondering if anyone else had gotten a ticket waived here and what reason they put on their form. I’m not working until my foot heals so if I can get this taken care of it would be so helpful!
EDIT: It’s always worth contesting just in case! I didn’t think they would forgive this ticket even though I live here. I thought it was worth contesting even if it pushed back when I needed to pay the fine by a few months to when I was a little more financially able to. I just got a letter in the mail that said they granted the appeal and I don’t have to pay the money! Yay! It’s always worth trying.
