Basically, I am a 35 year old male who is wanting to get back into the gym after years of depression/substance abuse/ isolation etc. I would never approach anyone on the street to ask so Reddit was the next best....I got out of the Army in 2015 and only stayed in the gym for about 90 days until my gym partner bailed which caused me to bail....I need someone who can also possibly call me out on my bs if I try to get out of plans etc. If I can manage a couple of weeks of regular workouts (esp when I start seeing changes) to get hooked on going daily. I remember at one poiint I would feel horribly guilty if I missed a gym day. That's where I'd like to be back at....I'm tired of this depressed lonely life I created for myself and I'm not asking for counseling etc. Just possibly someone interested in going to the gym and could tolerate an out of shape person for a few weeks etc. I was in the Army so I don't take things to heart. If anything, thats probably what I need...Oh and I am 100% mobile and financially (ish) stable. so I dont need rides or money etc - just someone to workout with
Oh and I guess I need to mention that I am straight. Nothing against anyone with different preferences or anything, - just my preference. I have no problem at all however with working out with anyone willing.
well, if anyone out there read this far - thanks. Pretty embarrassing at 35 but I gotta start somewhere...
Hey bud. Check out F3Delta.com. We’re a men’s fitness group. We meet every morning at 5:15a at different parks around the city. Totally free. Bunch of former military guys, all kinds of dudes just looking to get stronger physically, mentally, etc. Great group of guys who work out, hike, run, ruck together.
