"Lady Varriss?" A Quarren asks swimming over to her. "Your speech will be soon, are you coming?"

Varriss nods and sits up from the sea floor, great coral images rising above her in water. "I will be along presently."

"You know I could take a picture of you here, leak it to the press."

"No." Varriss replies touching off the floor and rising. "I do not speak politics at memorials. Delete the picture you took."

"Ma'am."

"My speech and our legacy of cooperation will suffice. Delete it."

"Yes Ma'am. It's just, the URA was here yesterday."

"I felt them pass above me," Varriss replies drifting towards the parked submarine. "They have the right to be here, and it is good they honor the dead."

"But aren't you concerned they'll use it for......"

"No." She replies firmly. "I will not hear talk of that. And you will only say I visited the memorial, nothing more or how long I was there."

"Yes Ma'am."

The ride to the capital didn't take long and soon they were surrounded by the crowds of Mon Calamari and Quarren that had come to the city for the games, the sub avoiding them gracefully and arriving at the Royal Palace.

"King Ech-Char" Varriss greets, bowing as best she can in the water.

"Vice Chancellor, we are honored by your presence, you should have attended the games!"

"That I wish I could have, but I was delayed while overseeing our project and attending to a personal matter. I caught most of the games on vid."

"It's not the same as in person, my booth would have welcomed your company!"

"I was disappointed to have missed it, but what we've been working on, you know how perfect it must be."

The king nods. "Are you sure that you wouldn't rather give this speech from the land? We can go up to the surface, the crowd will follow."

"I have spent some time preparing for this, practicing underwater in the Senate Rejuvenation Center's pool, I would hate to waste that time."

"As you wish, shall we." The King says with a slight chuckle before swimming out over a balcony, cameras swirling around as a large crowd has assembled.

"Citizens! A prosperous year, and a fantastic set of Squid games! I come before you with my honored guest, the Vice Chancellor of the New Republic, Lady Varriss Of Ovee!" He announces, motioning for her to take center stage.

"I am honored to be here!" Varriss announces. "The friendship between Morlani and Mon Cala, and our cooperation with Free Sector's ideals goes far back, before the Clone War, my Father Senator Fi Lor was an initial backer of Phyez Kikulu's Squid Games. Their friendship and cooperation as part of the QEP, and Free Trade Party, our direct predecessor, would lay a foundation for the cooperation and trade we see today. The Clone War tore the galaxy asunder, brother against brother, friend against friend. Even myself and my father were on opposing sides until the real enemy revealed itself. And when that enemy arose, Mon Cala, King Lee-Char, and King Ech-Char would stand as beacons of resistance against it! When the rebellion called, Mon Cala answered! I am proud to have fought alongside the Mon Cala and Quarrens. The "RRR Phyez Kikulu," the Providence-2 that sits above us in orbit, is a reminder of that legacy of fighting for freedom, and with our latest modernization programs, she will remain as the guardian of Mon Cala for generations to come.

But this fight, did not come without cost, when the treacherous Admiral Zsinj struck unprovoked at Mon Cala, our fleets moved to immediately cut them off and exact vengeance. As many of Mon Cala's shipyards sank into the ocean, it was Morlani and the FSF's honor to come to your aid! Together we have taken great strides to return these great shipyards to their former glory, and we plan to make them even grander!

The FSF believes in the policy of being good neighbors, and many across the Free Sectors have answered the call, from the yards of Taris, Lianna, the QFD, MVC, Botajef, Bonadan, even Vandelhelm, we have come together as neighbors helping a neighbor. Every part on those shipyards comes stamped with the symbol of the Free Sectors, The Lucrehulk "Mon Cala" that sits in orbit unloading shipyard components as we speak stands as a reminder of our commitment to helping this wonderful world stand tall again!"

"But we must not only look to what has been done, but look to the future. Mon Cala's shipyards still have much to be done, and should you wish to continue our partnership, we shall continue until they are completed! Our economic future stands bright, as the core shudders under the weight of military spending put towards Superships, we have built cost-effective highly capable defensive measures and can focus on building the economies of worlds in the Free Sectors.
