“Greetings Taris! I am Senator Fi Lor and I am running for Regional Senator, I will admit, I was unprepared when I set out to visit your world, I had a half-written speech and a lack of sleep. As we flew in it struck me, the scars of millennia ago are etched into the skin of this planet, yet no matter how deep they run, the people of this magnificent world have built an incredible city over generations. Too often it is easy to forget one’s history, the scars of this planet are proof of its healing and this history is one to inspire the future. And this future I see is a Taris that rivals Coruscant again! Free Trade has been the spark to fire the furnaces of progress on Taris and the rest of the Outer Rim, and yet Coruscant has attempted to tax it, to kill the Golden Gilder for short-term gain. I ask for your support in preventing this, Taris has already fantastic growth and wealth from the policies that the Republic now seeks to hobble, while there has been some inequality in wealth here that must be addressed, this is a problem for Taris to solve in a manner that works for Taris, the Republic would tax you a thousand credits, then return a hundred to bureaucrats to put into social programs. I say, vote for Free Trade, keep the thousand, and elect here on Taris politicians who will put the entire thousand into improving the lives of everyone!
Should I be elected, Taris will be the gateway to the Quelli system, this campaign has not just been an election campaign, but the building of an economic ring around the Hydian Way and Perlemian Trade Route, and Taris is a key part of this. I intend to help coordinate the construction of new trade routes, increased harbor infrastructure, and affordable passenger transit. There are many worlds where the poor languish away in slums, and other worlds where there is such a lack of workers that they're struggling to stay operational.
I want you to be part of this new Quelli economic plan, and I look forward to your support!"
