A rare Morlanian sunny day shines down upon the park as green banners lazily drift in the light breeze, rows of seats are filled with the murmurs of the crowd until finally the MTA doors open and Senator Fi Lor and his delegation emerge to the applause of the crowd and take up positions at a raised podium.

“Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen. Years ago I walked out these same doors carrying a diploma, and as I walked out, my friend Harlo said to me, ‘You know, you should get into politics!’ So I suppose you can blame him for all this.” Fi Lor cleared his throat as a polite chuckle rustled through the crowd. “I can think of no better place to make the announcement that I am running for Regional Senator of the Quelli Region.” Fi Lor smiled as the crowd erupted into cheers before holding his hand up. “I am afraid that means you’ll have to share me now as I will be representing the entire region, but know that my heart is that of the Morlani sector, and the values you elected me to represent will be carried on despite the additional responsibility. Our party is more than Free Trade, it is Freedom, it is Liberty, it is Justice. It is also a responsibility, personal and corporate, and I intend to carry those values wherever I go.

This is the first stop in a multi-planetary campaign, during this campaign I can unfortunately only visit a handful of systems, but to those I do not visit, I want to assure you that it is my goal to visit every planet in this region while I am the Quelli Region Senator. Now, my fellow Morlanians, before I go, I must have your blessing.”

A trumpet sounded and five columns of people emerged from the back of the park, all uniformed in bright colors, each in a different column and walking to the stage to a slow drumbeat. At the stage, the columns stopped, and the lead member of each ascended to stand next to Fi Lor.

A blue-clad man salutes. “The Sons of Morlana One give their Blessing!” He announces, before stepping down as a green-clad woman takes his place.

“The Daughters of Morlana Two give their blessing!” She too announces, before stepping down as a yellow-clad teenager takes the stage.

“The Children of Morla, Support you.”

“The Sages of Morlana Four, send their blessing” An old man clad in purple announces, handing a small amulet. “May it guide you.”

And finally, a red-clad woman takes the stage “The Daughters of Ferrix give you their blessing.”

“Thank you, Ms. Andor.”

“You be careful Fi Lor,” She replied before stepping down.

Fi Lor turned back to the crowd. “Then it is with all of your blessings, that I start this election. I must depart immediately, I fly to Bonadan to make my case. Thank you for your faith in me, I will not disappoint you!”
