"He's beginning to move again?"
"Alright - any orders from the capital?"
"The President is leaving this in your hands."
"Well enough."
"How do we want to proceed?"
General Pablo Garza quieted for a moment and ran his hand along his moustache, "Starts getting things ready - I'll call the rest of the staff and we'll begin drafting."
"Yes, sir."
In response to Zapata resuming hostility with the federal government, President Carranza has ordered General Pablo Garza (Current chief of the Army of Mexico) to organize for a renewed fight. Mexican Army units around Morelos (Zapata's stronghold) will maintain their encirclement of the state under the command of General Garza and will stay on the alert - they are ordered to quickly respond to any and all potential incursions from Zapatista forces. In the north, Generals Cardenas and de la Huerta have been ordered to focus on defensive preperations for potential raids from Villa.
Forces in Morelos:
- 12,000 Soldiers deployed surrounding the state, organized primarily along major roadways and strategic chokepoints.
- 3,000 are mobile units (cavalry with some motorization)
- Soldiers are primarily equipped with 1912 Mauser rifles, and, if equipped with a sidearm, various models of Colt pistol.
Forces in the North (Coahuila, Chihuahua, Sonora)
*14.000 Soldiers deployed around the three states, primarily centered in Nuevo Leon, Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua City, and Hermosillo
*6,000 are mobile (Cavalry)
- Soldiers equpped same as in Morelos, although cavalry have sabers and, depending on the unit, do have some older rifles (Winchesters, primarily)
