With the protests raging in the streets of Italy's industrial homeland, and the Fasci, while no longer protecting them, not striking against them either, lead the Italian government only one way to break the backs of these upstarted proles, the Italian Army. While cooler heads may have attempted to wait, and see if these protests and strikes could sustain themselves, Facta knew he did not have such a luxury. Thus, as the Red Guards armed themselves, and a command structure was quickly being established to allow them to properly protect their fellow strikers, elements of the Italian Army led by Major General Badoglio began their operation. Badoglio, eager as he was to not only gain the prestige and notoriety that he was sure to gain as he brought down the damned reds, but also to distract from his actions during the Great War, allowed for almost no time for his impromptu staff to gather together and plan, instead telling them that all they will have to do is march upon the workers and "They will scurry back to their holes" and that if they don't then "Strike them down with no hesitation, they are all traitors to the crown" And in a message to the troops under his command he calls the strikers "Fools who dare make demand of His Royal Highness!".

Of course, the strikers are not sitting idle, with the Red Guards forming, with Domenico Fioritto taking a leading role, the presses of the PSI were working nonstop, printing the demands of the PSI and the Strikers, denouncing the Facta government for not having a proper mandate and attempting to follow Orlando's example with the promise of suffrage as simply a bargaining chip. Some among the PSI are, behind closed doors, wondering if this is the spark that will light a Revolution in Italy, and if it is, should they unite with the PCd'I and Bordiga to finally bring the Monarchists to heel.

It would seem that the stage is set, either the Proletariat of Italy will rise, and break the chains that bind them, or the traitors to the crown will be wiped out, and normalcy shall return to the Kingdom.
