Schiedemann quickly wrote a letter after news of the siege of Munich spread throughout Weimar Germany.
To the new government of the state of Bavaria
I congratulate you on destroying the communist menace that festered within the minds of Bavaria. While such violence against our German brethren is sad, sometimes it is necessary to maintain the German state. That is why I am now reaching out to you to sign the new Weimar Constitution and re-join the Fatherland. The current government will be maintained as the government of the state of Bavaria and will partake in future elections alongside the regular election cycle of other federal German states. Together we can lead Germany to a brighter future.
President Friedrich Schiedemann.
As the letter is sent to the government of Bavaria, letters are sent to the Freikorps leaders Burghard von Oven, Franz Ritter von Epp, and Hermann Erhardt to return to the Fatherland and serve their country yet again. Many of the officers as well as a fair bit of the actual soldiers in the Freikorps are German loyalists or active members of the Weimar Republic's military, and are expected to pressure Bavaria to sign the Weimar Republic's Constitution. In addition, as a response awaits 60,000 of the remaining soldiers of the German military is moved to the borders of the Bavarian State awaiting further orders.
