[MODPOST] Clarification on some rules and events

Post Body

Regarding 'Self-Crisis' events and intentionally taking actions to trigger a mod Crisis:

You will be severely Punished for attempting to crisis yourself in a way that benefits you, or for making an in-game action that would incite a mod-induced rebellion.

For example: If it appears that you are intentionally doing things to upset your public (declaring wars on friendly nations, signing alliances with unlikely or hostile nations, making deals where you really really shouldn't be making them, or acting generally incompetent in the face of other crisis's/internal politics), you will be crisis'd in a manner that you most likely will not like.

Additionally, attempting to influence moderation by 'pointing out the flaws' in moderation by doing things in-game that can technically be done but really shouldn't be done will result in punishment in the forms of retcons (in extreme cases), crisis's, and bans (both temporary and permanent).

For example: Let's say you don't like the 'no retcon' approach that the moderation is carried out in. You want to force the moderators to start retconning things you don't like, or consider to be ahistoric/unfun/whatever. In response to this, you begin declaring wars on all of your neighbors and declare yourself God Emperor of Mankind. This will be retconned. When you point out the hypocrisy in this, that an attempt to trigger retconning was retconned (i.e. "If my ahistoric action was retconned, EVERYTHING that doesn't follow history should be retconned!" arguments), do please remind yourself that we have taken extreme amounts of time to foster both a community and environment where people can have fun playing a game - not win on technicalities and strong-arming with meta tactics against other players.

Ignorance of these statements does not mean you will be considered innocent should you do any of the above, or be thought to be doing any of the above. This clarification is to also go into effect retroactively. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns, please direct them to modmail.
