Phasma, not Captain Phasma of the First Order.
I take old for to mean two things: 1) a bad guy/gal. 2) currently in the game or in a previous movie. True face could mean they are now not wearing their mask. Of course this is just my opinion and could have other meanings.
I'm currently listening to the Phasma audiobook. Without spoiling anything, almost no one has seen what Captain Phasma without her mask on. Even before she joins the FO she wears a mask.
At one point in the book her brother says something to the effect of: "I can't remember the last time I saw her true face." I don't have the book for the actual quote, but this is from the end of chapter 36. From what I recall, the hint for the Tarkin rework was one of his quotes from Episode 4.
This would mean the new character is Phasma from her book, AKA before she joins the First Order. Thoughts?
