Am I making a mistake farming multiple hard node characters?

When I first started this game the general advice on hard nodes was to do only 5 a day, and any more wasn't an efficient use of energy.

Prior to the last update I was doing 5-10 sims of Baze a day. Now that ships have been added and we get my crystals from fleet I have been doing 5 Baze, 10 shore, and 5 FOST on 9A. Sometimes I do DN as well and now I'm considering trying to fit in veers and/or Krennic.

This leaves with with little to no every to farm gear, however I'm getting an additional 100-400 crystals a day from fleet arena which I can use to buy gear, plus the 500 I generally get from arena. Thoughts? Is this a good idea to finish these characters and get the new ships up to shape or is this a dumb idea?
