So I avoided this film since it released due to the reviews, I even started watching it around 6 months ago but gave up because all I could think about was the negativity.
Now that has passed I put the movie on Netflix one night and ended up actually being rather entertained. It is not a masterpiece and has issues but I was for sure into the characters and visuals, the story about two best friends fighting was also interesting enough.
The worse part of the movie honestly was the very awkward credit scene, but overall it is a solid enough movie with good action towards the end.
I feel this movie gets an overly harsh critique and possibly influenced by the memes and chatter that was happening around the time of its release.
The thing is that it's just dull. Say what you will about MadameWeb but at least it knew it wanted to be more of a thriller.
