Before going to sleep, I cracked a base and was looting about 6 mil out of a possible 26 mil when the game crashed and it said down for maintenance, which I’ve read online takes about 3-4 hours. Of course I’m never unshielded while playing, and I moved my base next to where I’m looting instead of the out of the way barren zone I usually park in. Why didn’t a message come on the screen saying maintenance beginning in 5 or ten minutes, whichever the case may be. This gives me a chance to finish up. Recall my ships. Relocate my base and put my shields back up. Now I’m forced to check and stay awake for several extra hours to make sure I don’t get retaliated against. Other games, gives an in-game warning before going down for maintenance. It’s not like you’re going to reimburse me of any loot lost due to being unshielded when maintenance randomly pops up.
