Been doing a lot of research and preparation before becoming sexually active. Definitely plan on using a condom for penetrative intercourse (and to reduce the chance of pregnancy), but I plan on oral sex. Oral sex has an overall lower chance of spreading STD's and by not brushing immediately before intercourse and disinfecting afterward, you can reduce those odds a bit more.
Of the incurable diseases: HPV and Hepatitis both have vaccines and there is something called PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) for HIV (Coupled with the knowledge that transmission via oral is less than 1% both ways).
All that is left is Herpes. So far, I've seen that infected partners (that are aware of it) can take suppressive therapy to reduce their outbreaks and reduce the risk of their uninfected partner from receiving the virus. ****However, is there anything that the an uninfected partner can take to reduce or nullify the risk of receiving Herpes?
