Post Body
Hi everyone! For those like me who dont feel at their most possible freedom and peace of mind because of the stds, and I’d love your input on my prevention plan. Here’s what I’ve come up with:
Prevention Plan
Barrier Protection
- Condoms: Effective in reducing the risk of most STIs when used correctly.
Prevention Medication
- PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis): Prevents HIV when taken as prescribed.
- DoxyPEP: A post-exposure antibiotic that can help prevent bacterial STIs like chlamydia and gonorrhea, and may also reduce the risk of syphilis.
Vaccines
- HPV Vaccine: Helps prevent various strains of human papillomavirus, which can lead to certain cancers.
- Mpox Vaccine: Prevents Mpox (formerly monkeypox), particularly important in populations at higher risk.
- Hepatitis B Vaccine: Protects against hepatitis B virus, which is commonly spread through sexual contact.
Question:
Is there anything I should add or modify to improve this prevention plan? Any other recommendations or experiences you’d like to share?
