Had a one night stand last night and the condom broke. I noticed it right away so I might have thrusted once or maybe twice after it broke. Took it off and put another one on right away. How long should I wait to get tested? I read up symptoms online and it kept me up all night. I’m feeling my body temperature rise and I had a slight sweat and boogers all night as well along with a mild headache. Apparently these are hiv symptoms, but I know I would not be showing any symptoms a couple of hours after exposure. So I think my mind is playing tricks on me. Also, I might be sweating out the alcohol I had consumed that afternoon as well.

So even if a condom breaks, what are the probabilities of contracting an std? Like I said, I noticed it right away and pulled out. About 5 minutes after finishing I went to the bathroom to pee and also took a quick shower in order to wash off my genital area.

I’m pretty bummed out because it’s the first time I get with someone after a six year relationship that did not end well. I’m barely starting to get my life and myself back together then this happened.

I feel like breaking down in tears. So what is your opinion on this? What should I do? Please and thank you for any feedback!
