Hey everyone, I've been taking Escitalopram for Panic Disorder for awhile now. Started it in February 2018 after switching from Paxil. Taking a 15mg dose. In January 2019 my anxiety relapsed and the dosage got upped to 20mg. That went great for awhile but I still got anxious and got panic attacks so in May the decision was made to switch to Venlafaxine, which didn't work, then switched to Prozac, which was hell. Eventually I demanded to be put back on Escitalopram and since December i've been taking 15mg Esc. Again. And up until now it works great. But I wonder, if I need a higher dosage, and 20mg simply isn't cutting it, could 30mg be an option? The maximum recommend dosage is 20mg. And last time my psychiatrist refused to go higher. But I think it might ba a good idea for a medicine that otherwise has worked great. How common is it for psychiatrists/doctors to prescribe 30mg? Are you taking 30mg?
