What happens when I contact SSDI and tell them I want to open an eBay shop or something similar?

Post Body

I'm in a state of fear around this. I've never contacted SSDI for anything. I've made some money here and there over the years but never went over the threshold of when they really care. Maybe they do care and want to know every single thing...I don't know. I've been on SSDI for 16 yrs and I feel like I need some kind of steady income. Reporting taxes on eBay and whatnot has me worried if i decide to go that route.

My question is, what is the process and what happens? Will I get in trouble for anything I haven't reported so far? Not that it's a lot and was last year. I haven't had a review in awhile either. I'm expecting one of those soon or in another couple years. I know they don't have the resources to send out spies and all that.

Anyway...I want to do the right thing and try to do something to supplement my income. I also make things that I could sell. The anxiety is really holding me back from doing anything.
