So I feel like Melee has had an issue with being able to monetize the scene to support the player directly, and my first thought was "Damn, I wish I could just support players like buying a pro deck in skateboarding".
Like if the controller modders worked with teams/players to make a custom shell design and preconfigured set of mods, then they could produce them easier and give players a cut of the profit.
With the advent of new controller boards, I feel like this is a good way to support the modders and players and lets them both expand their presence and brand.
It might even be able to reduce the cost of modded controllers if they don't all have to be customized on a player by player basis.
Would you buy a Mang0, Zain, n0ne, leffen, or plup "pro model" controller?
Not a modder or anything, I just think it'd be cool to see.
