My name is Yikes, maybe you've played with me. I'm a Captain Falcon main, but in my five year career, I've dabbled in many characters, seeking purpose in this beautiful game we call Melee. I've struggled to climb upwards through my regional ranks, and become someone who is even barely known, by putting my controller to the grindstone and forcing myself to work harder than my competitors. By 2019, I had finally felt sort of comfortable with my play, almost like I could be average riff raff.
Then Slippi came out.
I love Slippi, for giving me an opportunity to play the game every day with people from all around the world, but Slippi is breaking my mind. Once I had finally gotten to the point where I could confidently play melee at my locals, it was replaced with a whole different beast.
Why is everyone so good? How can I keep up?
My mentality is being bombarded with these Slippi Falco's, Zain aspirants, and 20XX Fox players. I've always had issues with my mentality, due to personal health issues, but it's getting impossible to keep up. Does anyone else feel this way?
