For me, three things stick out in my mind, that, while small, always put a smile on my face.

1)The head tilt my dog gives me when she knows she is in trouble, as if to say "I know I did bad, but aren't I cute?" And I have to concede that yes, she is incredibly cute.

2) When I'm in bed with my partner, and I kiss him on the cheek, he tends to smile in his sleep. That smile lets me know everything is okay in the world, at least for that second.

3)The overcast, color draining grey that happens during the winter. The snow on the ground and stormy clouds getting ready to snow meet in the middle, and the whole world seems cold and grey and quiet, and while I know it depresses some people, it takes me to my happy place.
