So apparently tinfoil hats are associated with paranoid schizophrenia. We'd like to apologize for our insensitivity and any hurt feelings that the tinfoil smiley may have caused.

We need a replacement smiley that mocks conspiracy theorists without the ableism.

has been suggested but I'm not sure it's quite as versatile as [](/tinfoil). It could work though. Any other suggestions?

EDIT: Could we please keep the focus on replacements for the smiley that hurt the feelings of some of our SRSisters, rather than hand-wringing about (a) whether we're being too accommodating of people who are not able-minded by eliminating the tinfoil smiley and (b) whether any hypothetical mocking of conspiracy theorists is inherently ableist? There's no reason to think the History Channel dude is schizophrenic, and just because some conspiracy theorists are not able-minded does not mean that mocking conspiracy theorists is ableist. The tinfoil smiley made a direct reference to well-known symptoms of schizophrenia. TIA.
