I've received a lot of mixed information about this. On one hand, there are a ton of posts on Tumblr and such tagged with #asexuality telling Aces to stay out of the Queer umbrella because they haven't faced as much discrimination. On the other hand, these posts face a lot of backlash.
And then there's this thread on the AVEN network where Aces talk about whether they feel part of the Queer movement or not.
Personally, I like my immediate area's Queer community a lot. They're welcoming and not judgemental; I don't feel subject to scrutiny as a GSRM around them. And as much as I'd like to be one of them, I can't help but wonder if it's appropriation to call myself Queer?
As a panromantic asexual, am I Queer? If I were a heteroromantic asexual, would I be any less Queer?
Thank you.
EDIT: You are all very lovely, very kind and total babes. Thanks for the input.
