I just finished an article by Andrea Smith that started a thought exercise about what exactly would have to happen (to the U.S.) to enforce the dozens of broken treaties and a couple centuries worth of shitty foreign relations. I would think it would break the country into a few regions that would finally recognize indigenous sovereignty. And then I realize that would probably apply to Canada. Mexico and Brazil too. And then I sat down and thought how much populous nation states are reliant on the use of militarism just to keep territories they control intact. Thoughts?
