As title suggests. How do I connect to a remote SQL Server, hosted in another state?
I have a server URL & port, database name, and login, and password, all correct.
My company wants me to try to connect to this and query it, but every single "guide" I've found on the internet just wants me to set up a local SQL Server, I have found ZERO info on how to connect to one that is not on my local machine.
I know this is probably bare bones basic, but how do I do this?
What programs do I need, etc? (currently have MSSM18 & SQL Server 2019)
I am so lost, I have tons of experience with MongoDB, but very limited with SQL. Just a nudge in the right direction would help immensely
