Well, so here's the deal:
I really enjoy playing Tarkov - although like many of you I'm terrible at PvP and I really don't have the time to play hours/ day and keep up with the meta.
For a long time I basically got the game but stayed aside and watched various highly skilled streamers. To give you the idea, I think I've never gotten farther than lvl 22 on my main character.
Than I heard about PvE (I just heard about SPT yesterday sadly). And I got it. Yes, I paid extra to be able to play PvE.
Sidenote: where I live EoD version would be something around 1k buck, so it's really not fisable to pay THAT much on a game. So no PvE free for me. PvE was something around 100 bucks.
Anyway, I got PvE and I'm really having a blast in the game for the first time. I can enjoy it, and I can play it. I can fight some PMC's - and yes, I still get deleted. But I can enjoy the game!
But after reserching SPT, and here's my admiration to the community of Devs and supporters - really...Guys, this is such an amazing job, I thought about giving a try on SPT.
Yesterday I saw some videos of Klean playing SPT. And one thing he said made me really want to give it a try. He said he never felt like he was getting "cheated" from bosses or rogues, he always had a chance, since AI is not a freaking entity on SPT (with it's twearks).
Now I wrote all of this above just to vent out. Really. I love the game. Been watching Tarkov streams everyday for years. And I can finally play. But one thing is keeping me from head diving SPT: since the game server will be running on my PC (and I have a potato in my hands) I don't know if I'll be able to really enjoy it.
My "official" tarkov runs on minimum. It's ok for me. But this is my precious po-ta-to:
AMD Ryzen 7 2700 3.2Ghz
MSI B350M pro-vh plus
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1660 OC 6Gb
16Gb ram
It's not also possible for me, at the moment, to upgrade it. Can't afford it right now.
Thanks in advance. And again, congrats to this whole community. I really wish I had heard of you guys before buying PvE.
Edit (1): I forgot to state another doubt I have, and haven't yet found the answer. How does wipe work on SPT? Is it like in PVE where it basically only happens if you choose to?
Edit (2): It's working fine, to anyone with similar PC specs wondering. Haven't tried questing bots or donuts yet, since bot behaviour seems to be the performance killer. Right now I'm running Sain (plus the requisites), FOV fix, Amanda's Graphics, Looting Bots, Flea Pricing and The Blacklist mod. I intend on trying bot progression sometime soon.
Edit (3): To anyone else wondering...well, modding is a big thing. It certainly improve many things, solely because you can make the game as YOU like it. So it's definitely a step up comparing to PVE.
