Do you have an aversion to towels?

I realized this year that I hate regular terry cloth towels. they feel absolutely awful to me when they are moist or wet.
I'm curious who else has a sensory aversion to towels and what you use instead?
While I've looked into turkish towels (flat weave/thin towels) I think what i really like are beach towels - the scratchiness is more pleasant to me when it's wet.
