So I currently own a SP404A.
I bought it and never realllly learned it..
recently I bought myself a little arturia keystep to noodle around with my hardware and ive been making lots of fun little chops and things that I think would make great samples .. and I was on my way to the music store to buy some effects ... then I thought why dont I just use my SP for effects.. which is great! but then it got me wanting to noodle around with it which got me thinking about should i even bother learning my A?
So im wondering.. since I want to start learning how to incorporate this little box into my workflow.. should I buy a mkII? my reasoning is not just have the latest greatest but for future ...proof..ability? And learning resources. other then used I see no new SP404 sx/a devices available and even finding pads/cables everything else seems limited. And looking for inspiration online is tough because almost all the resources/ performance videos are mkII related now.
My intended workflow creative wise is dawless. create sample/ chops/ licks/ whatever with my hardware and put it into my SP - I dont really have a genre as this is just fun for me. no phone. no computer. just headphones and a cozy space.
ie) I want to **CREATE** with my hardware and **PERFORM** with it - **BUT** if I decide to record and post it I want to be able to finalize/ master in the DAW
