Any way to make the temp more predictable every use?

With the different readout, sometimes every dab the readout is different, how are you all keeping the temps right?
I find the starting amperage or whatever when you hold down the power and temp down fluctuates so much and it has a big impact on what you set your temps will be in the atomizer.
Anyone have tips or tricks that they are using to get a more standard readout every time?
