Cant connect socom CA and socom 3 over LAN

On the ps2 with CA on I can see matches made on socom 3 but not the other way around, also when I try connecting from CA to the socom 3 room I get disconnected, this is all over my own LAN and I believe I've got it to work before.
Any advice?
