Global Ultimates - Too many or not enough?
Post Body
You know the type. Athena ults into the fight, Neith ults to secure a kill, Thanatos, Apollo, Horus, Thor... fly around. But lets talk about global ultimates as a whole, and how they can help or hinder the game.
Talking points:
- Are there too many? Having an entire party with global ultimates might seem scary, but is it really?
- What kind of global ultimates could we see in the future? A Guardian ultimate that swaps you with a chosen ally? An inverse of Nu Wa's ult that heals you and your teammates, almost like Terra's ultimate with a global area of effect?
- Many ultimates that include flying usually have a handicap, such as a straightfoward timer with Thanatos or Thor, a set number of hops with a timer like Ratatoskr's ult, or how Apollo pulls straight from your mana pool. What other ways can you think of balancing flying ultimates? Something that drains health? Increases the cooldowns of other abilities? Costs gold?
- We already have an ultimate that lets you bring allies with you wherever you go with Horus's ult. What other creative interactions do you think there can be? Do you think there should be?
