The Father, Almighty [2/3 of Abrahamic Pantheon]
Post Body

The Father, Almighty

Pantheon: Abraham
Role: Mage
Lore: The Father created the heaven and the earth, so it has been told. Alpha, omega. Beginning and end. The sole true deity over his worshipers, he is believed to reign supreme without any contest or contention. With the light and sky under his domain, he leads his people with subtly and grace. Yet often does he tend toward anger and hatred, leading his followers with as much malice as he does mercy. Though many question this balance and what it means, one things remains certain; the Almighty Father's wrath is not something to be taken lightly.

Appearance: The Father appears normally as a stocky old man, peak of health, with a long white beard and eyes that glow with power and joy. He wears flowing white robes, laced with gold. In his Merciful stance, he walks with gentle ease, holding his hands palms-up like he's carrying an invisible child. In his Wrathful stance, his palms are faced down, his arms hunched and prepared for combat. As such, the gold lace and holy light from his usual attire turns sour, mimicking deep blues and grays.

Stats:

  • HP: 370 ( 78)
  • Mana: 272 ( 48)
  • Speed: 360 ( 0)
  • Phys Prot: 9 ( 2)
  • Mag Prot: 26 ( 1.3)
  • Attack/Prog: 1x
  • HP5: 5.8 ( 0.44)

Ultimate: Shifting Favor

The Father changes stances, affecting the battlefield through his passive as well as refunding the mana cost of their next basic ability. In addition, depending on the stance, the Father gains bonuses.
Passive Reduced Protections: 4/6/8/10/12
Passive Increased HP5: 4/8/12/16/20

Merciful Stance:
The Father wishes the betterment of his children. While active, minions in his range gain flat damage reduction.
Damage Reduction to Minions: 15%
Radius: 20m

Wrathful Stance:
The Father seeks to destroy the sinful, exploiting their wrong-doings for his gain. Enemy minions within range have their protections reduced.
Enemy Minion Protection Reduction: 4/8/12/16/20

Explanation:

What happens when you combine a damage dealing mage like Merlin with a quirky, middle of the road character like Hel? You get The Father, a god who switches between being helpful and damaging like Hel, but with a prolonged shift-change thanks to the power of actual benefits. The stances themselves are supposed to make the god feel like there is some sort of immediate shift depending on their stance; while Merciful, friendly gods heal themselves slightly faster while nearby minions take flat reduced damage. However, while in the Wrathful stance, enemy gods and enemy minions have their protections reduced.
