Sky3DS Not Working

So in a not-so-good way I bricked my 3ds. Didn't have NAND backup and moved on from it. However, my sky3ds only worked on the bricked Jap 3ds. Whenever I use the sky3ds on my American one it doesn't even recognize the cart itself. What should I do?
