Hello Spartans,

Starting October 4, 2021, you are now required to scan your Tower Card to enter most buildings.

SJSU is in the process of sending out new Tower Cards. The new Tower Card can be identified by looking for the number "21" above the barcode, an absence of the US Bank Logo, and the words "Seos Px" above the magstripe on the right side. Note that once in possession of your new Tower Card, all previous Tower Cards will be blocked from working with the card readers.

If you do not have your Tower Card, here is what you need to do.

1. Upload an acceptable ID photo to https://myid.sjsu.edu/. This step is optional if you have already have an acceptable photo uploaded,
2. Bring a government-issued photo ID to the Student Services Center. This is located between the North Garage elevator bank. You will be looking for the Bursar's Office.

If your Tower Card does not work on the building scanners (ex: the light on the scanner lights up blue instead of green), contact [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and they may be able to diagnose your specific issue.

Also a reminder to make sure you are aware of your surroundings as well and if you have any safety concerns, report it to UPD.
