I've heard the Aoshima Kiryu doesn't scale well with SHMA, but I'm looking for my definitive kiryu without spending the aftermarket on the SHMA. does it look ok in comparison to some SHMA figures Like 2021 Mecha G or any of the godzillas?

I have the Heavy Arms version of this kit, and before I give any criticism I have to say it’s an incredible figure once built. However, I bought it to fill my Kiryu niche in my Monsterarts line not realizing the scale of it. It’s like 8 inches tall, and dwarfs every other G figure I own from both Tamashii AND Hiya. I caved and bought a S.H. Kiryu recently because it just doesn’t fit right.

However! Even though I don’t any of Super7’s figures, given the scale I think it would fit great with those! They’re all around 8 inches tall, so the Aoshima Kiryu should be great there.

If you dig around for a bit and get lucky for a deal, the special version 2002 Kiryu can be found for around $250-$300. Not cheap by any means, but a hell of a lot better than the $400-600 that the rest go for.
