Is this an old coin?

So I’ve been reading through some of the comments in responses to posts on here and seen Shib referred to as old coin that won’t gain significant value. My question is really of Shib itself has been replaced by something else?

I do have quite a bit of Shib and a few other coins but I’m very much a buy and just leave it kind of person so I check it every few months with the end game being in 10 years these coins should be significantly higher or of more real world use.

I’m just wondering is there still a strong backing and community for this? I’m aware of Bone and Leash, have they replaced Shib? My thoughts were that they are an extension of the Sun ecosystem.

Just looking for some advice on if anything has negatively changed in Shiba Inu since the coin first became popular?

Been holder Shib for a few years.
