If you know me in real life, yeah, I know... Dating is hard, man.
The talking stage is a funny part of dating. If you’re not fortunate, it’s the stage you’re likely uncomfortably familiar with for better or worse. It has that delicate balance of both parties putting forth their best self while trying to stay honest, all the while trying to gauge if you can overlook their red flags. It’s exhausting, exhilarating and after so many times fucking frustrating. Exhilarating because, if you click, it can feel like heaven.
Finding someone you really like and potentially moving to the next stage where hormones and infatuation take over. Exhausting because you’re both on the lookout for red flags and incompatibilities. And if it doesn’t work out, you’re left wondering if you have the strength to try again.
I’m a graphic designer and while it’s significantly less exciting than most people think, it does scratch an itch where I can tinker with things in different programs. I love being creative. In my free time, I’m usually drawing/painting, taking film photos, eller studera svenska för nöjes skull. I go to way too many shows for my own good, but I can’t help it. It might partially be fomo, but it’s about the sensation where the music is so loud it vibrates through your skull, and you can’t help but put on your nastiest stank face. I’ve always been a bit alt. In high school it was all black, piercings, and band tees. But, I’ve calmed down a bit since joining corporate life.
A few less piercings and long sleeves more than I’d like to. Always a bit disappointed that my closet full of band shirts don’t see as much use.

My humor leans dark and witty, though I try to keep it tasteful. I value emotional intelligence, empathy and introspection. I'm on the more reserved side, and I find I really click with assertive, outgoing, extroverted people with a quick wit. Meeting people where humor, life experiences and understanding meet is just invaluable.
People who know how to balance playful banter with thoughtful conversations, and who aren't afraid to share what really matters to them. I’m not really into anime, kpop/kdramas, or video games. As an asian guy, it’s just a personal red flag. Casual interest is fine, but if it’s a significant part of your interests, we might not click. I am a bit slow to open up. But if you’re patient, I promise I’m worth the wait. Maybe we’ll even hold hands in a circle pit.
