I attached a larger significance to sex than appropriate, so I crashed and burned when the first girl I slept with didn't share the same feelings as I did. It did open up the possibility that I could still be a decent and compassionate human being WHILE also get laid and wiggle my tongue on a pretty girl's private(s).
Sex for the sake of sex. Sure we still need to be attracted to each other, and take care of our individual selves, and have personalities that are beyond our gendered bits. But the motif of our skins touching is for the sake of pure hedonistic fulfillment.
