We've made a revision to the rules and posting guidelines because we have removed a lot of off-topic posts lately. To sum it up:

1. Only SETI science posts please. This will be enforced with removals, and if it persists, with bans. The relevance to SETI science must be direct. There are other forums that cover exoplanets, astronomy, and astrobiology, and that's where those posts should go. One way to look at it, is that we're interested in the last three factors in the Drake Equation, and research programs to discover better estimates of these.
2. Only credible sources. If you use an MSM source or press release, look up the actual science paper and provide it as well, either in the comments or at the target URL( clearly labelled). Arxiv.org is a great resource for this, since pretty much all SETI papers go there.
