Website was hacked, best way to resubmit my actual pages?

Website was hacked, hackers added 2K pages of worthless pages tanking SEO and indexing on google.

Looks like none of my actual pages are even indexing on google, even though the sitemap is showing my sitemap xml.

I've gone through with support and removed all malicious files from backend. What's the best approach to show Search Engine Console that these pages are now gone? I did a prefix removal on search engine but ultimately want SEC to see the pages that I have now vs all the spam.

All those old spammy links are now going to 404, from what i've read this is better than a 301, then eventually 410.
