If an outsider were to look at the state of Civcraft, they could easily interpret it as in a state of collapse. The world is dominated by the numerous Negative quadrant cities, which go through a constant cycle of growth, and collapse, all of which lead to the non-stop drama.
Currently, the / is the only truly stable region in Civcraft. The negative quadrants are chaotic, with rampant pearlings. The root of all the drama on the server is rooted with not only the negative quadrants, but the Negative’s themselves.
As we work to organize ourselves in the / , we need to recognize the greatest risk to us is. As we work towards cooperation, the discord wrought by the negatives will only spread. Many of us already have experienced the damage inflicted by the Negatives’ sense of entitlement. Portal rooms, such as Gerald and Communa’s, have been broken into, and riddled with Negative snitch blocks. The people of Prussia have been persecuted by the Jacks. The Gerald was threatened with destruction by Negatives.
The / has already formed small nuclei of closely knit cities. Agraria, Communa, and Gerald, have become closely knit, through our pathways, and now railways. Fyfe is connected to Kodiak through their shared rail line. I was in chat range when Prussia was being surveyed, so I believe it is near where I operate a bug-out bunker.
The point is, we need to start looking at ourselves as less of separate cities that cooperate, but rather as a unified group that has decided to settle, what has the prospects to be, a promised land. I left the negatives after my settlement was destroyed, and found the / to be a haven.
The Negatives operate on antagonism, while in the / we must lead by example. We can’t just centralize our defenses within our cities, but protect ourselves as whole, and let our cooperation radiate as an example to others. If we concede to the fact that, united, we would form the largest faction on the server, then what we can accomplish is incalculable. The / is our home, and we have a responsibility to each other to create a land where civility and order is the way of life.
