Brand New, Any Good Tips?

Hey, I'll be flying in solo from the UK a couple of days before and will be leaving a day or two after the con.

I have never actually been to a 'real' con before and was wondering if there were any general tips you fine folks had for how to have the best possible time, most likely on my own (unless I make fast friends with someone there)?

Also any tips from locals/regular visitors for non-CC related stuff for my intervening days? Or any outside stuff that might still be Con related I suppose.
