Scum Crashing with Fatal Error

Hi So ive reinstalled the game and want to play but everytime i get to the "warning this is early access" screen it gives me a fatal error.
What ive tried:
Reinstalling the game
Updating DirectX
Trying to launch in windowed mode (not working)
Updating drivers for graphics card
capping fps at 30
any other suggestions ?
