Engine turning off

Hi all I’m back. I recently bought a r154 swapped sc300 when driving the engine has randomly began to die. When I try to start it the starter won’t even try to turn the motor, but if I’m already moving I can pop the clutch in and it will start back up. If I let it sit for a bit it will start right back up. I feel that the car may be overheating but the gauge doesn’t move at all. Any suggestions of where to start?
